Compatible magenta toner for Canon imageCLASS

This SuppliesMax cartridge replaces Canon 2660B001AA and fits a long list of Canon imageCLASS and i-SENSYS printers including the LBP-7200, LBP-7660, MF-724 and MF-8380 models. It is built to OEM specifications and yields up to 2900 pages at five percent coverage. The cartridge is new and intended for everyday business and personal printing.

Thermal and power behaviour in normal use

The toner operates inside supported 110V Canon printers without adding extra heat or noise beyond the printer's normal output. Power draw is determined by the host device and the cartridge itself draws no separate supply. Installation is straightforward and does not change the printer's acoustic profile.

What the bundle changes for the user

The single-pack package includes only the magenta toner cartridge; no drum unit, waste container or software is supplied. Print quality relies on the printer's existing calibration and the cartridge's internal components. Buyers who need a full colour set must purchase cyan, yellow and black cartridges separately.

Questions about this item

How do I install the CRG-118M cartridge in my Canon i-SENSYS MF-728Cdw, and what step is often missed?

Open the front cover, pull out the old magenta cartridge, remove the new cartridge from its packaging, shake it gently five to six times to distribute toner evenly, pull the sealing tape straight out, then slide the cartridge firmly into the magenta slot until it clicks.

What maintenance or replacement will this cartridge need after the 2900-page yield is reached?

Once the approximate 2900 pages at 5% coverage are printed, the cartridge must be replaced with a new magenta toner; no separate drum or developer unit replacement is required for this model.

What limit appears first during continuous high-volume printing with this toner?

The 2900-page yield at 5% coverage is the primary limit; sustained heavy printing will exhaust the toner supply before any other component reaches end of life.
