MICR Toner for Secure Check Printing

This two-pack of SuppliesMax MICR jumbo high-yield toner cartridges is built for businesses that print cheques and barcodes on compatible Lexmark laser printers. The magnetic formulation meets banking standards for automated clearing. Each cartridge is manufactured to OEM specifications in ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified facilities for reliable, bank-compliant output.

6500-Page Yield at 5% Coverage

The set delivers approximately 6500 pages measured at .05 coverage, giving high-volume departments enough headroom for daily cheque runs and batch printing. Yield drops when pages carry heavy graphics, dense text or full-barcode fields, so plan reorders around actual coverage rather than the rated figure alone.

Requires MICR Drum Unit in 110V Printers

These cartridges work only when paired with a MICR drum unit inside supported 110V U.S.-based Lexmark MS-317, MS-417, MS-517, MS-617, MX-317, MX-417, MX-517 and MX-617 series devices. They are not suitable for standard toner drums, non-MICR workflows or printers operating on other voltages.

Questions about this item

Will this 6500-page cartridge set work with the Lexmark MS-517dn I already own?

Yes, the cartridges are compatible with the MS-517dn and the full MS-317, MS-417, MS-517, MS-617, MX-317, MX-417, MX-517 and MX-617 series, provided a MICR drum unit is installed.

How can I verify the magnetic toner is producing bank-compliant output after installation?

Print a test check or barcode page; the magnetic characters must read clearly on a MICR gauge or bank scanner, confirming the toner meets ANSI X9 standards.

Does the 2-pack include the MICR drum unit mentioned in the notes, or must I buy it separately?

The pack contains only the two jumbo high-yield toner cartridges; the MICR drum unit is a separate purchase required for operation.
