What this cartridge does

This SuppliesMax MICR toner cartridge 2-pack is a compatible replacement for Troy 02-81134-001_2PK. Each black cartridge yields up to 12000 pages at 5% coverage. Magnetic toner formulation enables secure check and barcode printing that meets banking standards. Designed for 110V U.S.-based laser printers in the listed HP and Troy series.

Who should buy this

Offices and financial institutions printing high volumes of negotiable documents on supported HP LaserJet 2400, 2410, 2420 or 2430 models or Troy MICR 2420 and 2430 devices will benefit. Buyers needing colour output, non-MICR toner, or cartridges for printers outside the stated compatibility list should look elsewhere.

The spec that decides fit

MICR toner is the single requirement for bank-compliant check printing; standard toner cannot produce the magnetic characters banks read. Confirm your printer appears in the compatibility list — HP LaserJet 2400, 2410, 2420, 2430 series and Troy MICR 2420, 2430 series — before ordering.

Questions about this item

Does the 2-pack contain everything needed to start printing checks, or is a drum unit sold separately?

The package includes two complete toner cartridges; no separate drum unit is required for the listed HP LaserJet 2400, 2410, 2420, 2430 and Troy MICR models.

Should I choose the 12000-page 2-pack or look for a higher-capacity version for my HP LaserJet 2420?

This 2-pack is the only capacity offered for the Troy 02-81134-001 compatible cartridge; each cartridge yields 12000 pages at 5 % coverage.

What does the 12000-page yield mean when I am printing full-page check forms on a Troy MICR 2430?

The figure is based on 5 % page coverage; dense check layouts with heavy MICR lines will reduce the actual page count below 12000.
