SuppliesMax MICR toner 2-pack

This two-pack of SuppliesMax MICR toner cartridges replaces the Dell 2HY1720-MICR and equivalent OEM part numbers. Each cartridge is rated for approximately 6000 pages at five percent coverage. The magnetic toner formulation is designed for secure check and barcode printing in compatible Dell laser printers.

Upgrade from standard toner

Standard black toner cannot produce the magnetic ink character recognition output required by banks and payment processors. Switching to this MICR cartridge is worth it when you need to print cheques or financial documents that must meet banking compliance standards. The high-yield capacity also reduces change frequency compared with standard-yield alternatives.

Check printer model and voltage

Verify that your printer is a Dell 1720, 1720n or 1720DN before ordering. These cartridges are engineered for 110 V U.S.-based printers only. Confirm that your current toner part number appears in the compatible OEM list to ensure proper fit and recognition.

Questions about this item

Will the SuppliesMAX MICR cartridge fit inside my Dell 1720DN printer without modification?

Yes. The cartridge is built to original OEM specifications for the Dell 1720, 1720n and 1720DN models, so it seats directly in the standard toner bay with no adapter or bracket required.

What is the correct installation sequence for the 2HY1720-MICR cartridge, and which step is most often missed?

Remove the protective seal, gently rock the cartridge five times to distribute the magnetic toner evenly, then slide it firmly into the printer until it clicks; the rocking step is the one users skip, causing faint MICR lines on the first cheques.

When will the MICR toner need to be replaced to keep cheques bank-compliant?

Replace the cartridge after approximately 6000 pages at five percent coverage; magnetic signal strength drops near end of life and can cause cheque rejection even if text still looks dark.
