Purpose-built MICR toner

This SuppliesMax cartridge set provides magnetic toner formulated for secure check and barcode printing. It replaces HP CF289AD1-MICR and equivalent OEM part numbers across the listed LaserJet Enterprise and Troy MICR models. Each cartridge yields up to 5000 pages at 5% coverage.

Upgrade from standard black toner

Standard toner lacks the magnetic properties banks require for MICR line recognition. The jump is worth it when your workflow includes cheque runs, payroll drafts or barcode batches that must clear automated clearing houses without rejects.

Fits high-volume cheque environments

Offices processing daily cheque batches on the supported 110V printers will value the consistent yield and OEM-spec construction. Buyers who need colour output, non-MICR monochrome printing or compatibility with printers outside the listed Enterprise M507 and M528 families should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will the 5000-page cartridge fit my HP LaserJet Enterprise M507DN?

Yes, this MICR toner is a direct replacement for HP CF289AD1-MICR and fits the M507DN, M507N, M507X, M528DN, M528F and Troy MICR models listed.

What is the most common installation mistake with these MICR cartridges?

Forgetting to pull the sealing tape completely out before closing the printer cover, which prevents toner flow and causes blank or faded pages.

When will I need to replace the 5000-page MICR toner cartridge?

Replace it after approximately 5000 pages at 5% coverage or when print quality fades, indicating the magnetic toner supply is depleted.
