What this cartridge is and who it fits

SuppliesMax MICR toner cartridge 5000 pages Ricoh 406465-MICR is a new aftermarket black toner cartridge built for Ricoh Aficio SP-3400 and SP-3410 series printers. It replaces OEM part numbers 406464, 406465, 406522, 406589, 406591 and 406593. Magnetic toner formulation meets bank-compliant standards for secure cheque and barcode printing. It does not work in Ricoh Aficio SP-3500 or SP-3510 series devices.

Thermals, noise and power draw

The cartridge operates inside supported 110V printers without adding heat, noise or power draw beyond the printer's normal specifications. Magnetic toner particles fuse at standard laser temperatures, so the printer's existing thermal profile remains unchanged. No extra cooling or electrical capacity is required beyond what the host machine already provides.

Build fit: needs and freedoms

Installation is a direct drop-in for the listed Ricoh models; no firmware updates, adapters or additional hardware are needed. The 5000-page yield at .05 coverage supports high-volume cheque runs, reducing cartridge swaps and downtime. Buyers who need compatibility with SP-3500 or SP-3510 series printers cannot use this cartridge.

Questions about this item

How do I install the SuppliesMax 406465-MICR cartridge in my Ricoh SP-3400DN, and what step is often missed?

Open the front cover, pull out the old cartridge, shake the new one gently side-to-side five times, remove the sealing tape completely, then slide it in until it clicks; the step most people skip is removing the full length of sealing tape before insertion.

What part will need replacement after the SuppliesMax MICR toner runs out at 5% coverage?

The entire cartridge is a single unit; once the 5000-page yield is reached you replace the whole cartridge — there is no separate drum or waste bottle to change on this model.

What limit appears first when printing long batches of checks on the SP-3410SF with this cartridge?

The 5000-page yield at 5% coverage is the first limit; magnetic toner density remains stable until the cartridge is empty, so page count — not print quality — ends the run.
