Olympia NP-136 Compatible Ribbon Pack

This six-pack of black ink ribbons replaces Olympia part number 80111 in dot-matrix printers. It fits the Olympia NP-136, NP-136S and NP-136SE models as well as Nakajima AR-55, AR-65B and DP-7800 machines. The ribbons are built to OEM specifications for receipts, invoices and other high-volume business printing. Each cartridge is new and manufactured in ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified facilities.

Thermal Load and Power in Normal Use

Dot-matrix impact printing generates minimal heat inside the printer carriage and the ribbon itself adds no electrical load. The mechanism draws power only from the host printer’s standard 110 V supply. No extra cooling or ventilation is required beyond what the printer already provides. Operation remains quiet enough for typical office or counter environments.

Build Integration and What It Frees Up

Installation is a simple drop-in swap that requires no tools, firmware updates or driver changes. Using compatible ribbons does not void the printer manufacturer’s warranty under U.S. law. The six-pack reduces ordering frequency and keeps spares on hand for continuous operation. Buyers who need colour output or thermal-transfer labels cannot use this product.

Questions about this item

How do I install the ribbon in an Olympia NP-136 and what step is often missed?

Open the printer cover, remove the old cartridge, insert the new ribbon so the feed roller engages the drive gear, then advance the ribbon manually one full turn before closing the cover.

What maintenance will the ribbon need during its life?

No maintenance is required; when print fades or becomes uneven, replace the entire cartridge with a fresh one from the six-pack.

What limit appears first during continuous high-volume printing?

Ink depletion is the first limit; the ribbon yields consistent output until the ink reservoir is exhausted, at which point print density drops sharply.
