SuppliesMax PIT716-1 waste toner container

The SuppliesMax PIT716-1 is a compatible waste toner container designed for Pitney-Bowes, Imagistics and OCE copiers and laser printers. It replaces the OEM 716-1 unit in models such as the CM-2020, CM-3120, CM-3520, CM-3525 and CM-4520 series. Offices with compatible machines use it to collect excess toner during printing.

Installation and common issues

The container slots into the designated waste compartment without tools. Alignment tabs must engage fully or the device will report a seating error. Forcing the unit can crack the housing and cause toner spillage inside the printer. A full container that is not replaced in time will overflow and degrade print quality.

Practical limits of the waste container

Rated yield is 30000 pages at 5% coverage. Actual life shortens with graphics-heavy output or higher coverage jobs. The container holds a fixed volume of waste toner and cannot be emptied or reused. It does not supply printing toner, so a separate supply cartridge is still required.
