What This Cartridge Is

The SuppliesMax SAV842251 is a new black toner cartridge built as a compatible replacement for the Savin 842251 original. It is intended for offices and home users who print high volumes on supported Savin colour laser printers and want a lower-cost alternative to the OEM supply.

The Deciding Specification

Page yield is the single figure that determines fit: this cartridge is rated for 31000 pages at .05 coverage. If your typical monthly output approaches or exceeds that number you will replace the cartridge more often; if your volume is far lower the yield may be more than you need.

Installation and Common Issues

Installation follows the standard Savin cartridge swap and takes seconds in the supported IM-C3000 and IM-C3500 models. The most frequent problem is a printer firmware update that blocks third-party chips, which can stop the cartridge from being recognised even though it is physically identical.

Questions about this item

How many pages can I realistically expect from the 31000-page yield rating?

The 31000-page figure is based on the industry-standard 5% coverage test. If your typical documents contain more text, graphics or solid areas, the actual page count will be lower; lighter coverage will extend it.

What printer interface or standard does this cartridge use, and does it limit print quality?

This toner is a direct mechanical and electrical match for the Savin 842251 cartridge used in the IM-C3000 and IM-C3500 series. It installs like the OEM unit and does not impose any additional resolution or speed limits.

Will the SAV842251 cartridge fit and lock into my Savin IM-C3500 without modification?

Yes. The cartridge is built to the same physical dimensions and latch design as the original Savin 842251, so it seats and locks in the IM-C3000 and IM-C3500 printers exactly like the OEM part.
