Compatible Black Drum Unit

This SuppliesMax drum unit replaces the Savin D244-2250K and fits the Savin MP-C2004, MP-C2004EX, MP-C2504, MP-C2504EX and MP-C2504SP series. It delivers up to 60000 pages at .05 coverage for high-volume black printing. The unit is manufactured to OEM standards using new and recycled components in ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified facilities. It is designed for 110V machines sold in the U.S.

Offices needing high-yield black output

Suits workplaces that run compatible Savin colour copiers and want a lower-cost black drum with a 60000-page rating. Buyers who need MICR toner for cheque printing should look elsewhere because this unit is not MICR-enabled. Organisations requiring OEM-branded consumables for lease compliance may prefer the original Savin part. Machines operating outside 110V regions are not supported by this design.

Straightforward drop-in replacement

Installation follows the standard drum swap procedure for the listed Savin models and requires no special tools. The most common issue is forgetting to remove the protective seals before inserting the unit, which can cause blank pages. A small number of users report the printer not recognising the chip immediately; reseating the drum usually resolves this. Firmware updates on the host device can occasionally trigger a non-genuine warning that does not prevent printing.

Questions about this item

Which Savin printer models must I already own for this SAVD244-2250K drum unit to work?

It fits Savin MP-C2004, MP-C2004EX, MP-C2504, MP-C2504EX and MP-C2504SP machines.

Will the drum still function if I keep using older Savin drum part numbers like D244-2209K or D244-2229K in the same printer?

Yes, this unit replaces those OEM part numbers directly, so the printer will accept it without changes.

How can I confirm the drum is performing correctly after installation?

Print a test page and check for crisp black output with clear color contrast; the unit is rated for 60000 pages at .05 coverage.
