What this cartridge replaces

The SuppliesMax Savin 406046 is a compatible black toner cartridge built to replace OEM part numbers 406046, 406093, 406052, 406094, 406159 and 7921. It fits Savin SP-C220, SP-C221, SP-C222 and SP-C240 series colour laser printers for everyday business and personal printing.

Thermals noise and power in normal use

The cartridge operates inside supported 110V printers without adding measurable heat or acoustic load beyond the printer's normal profile. Manufacturing follows ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified processes using new and recycled components, and using it does not void the printer manufacturer's warranty.

When the upgrade makes sense

Choose this cartridge when you need a 2000-page yield at 5% coverage for crisp black output and clear colour contrast at a lower cost than the original brand. It is not suited for users who require MICR toner for cheque printing or who need a higher page yield than 2000 pages.

Questions about this item

How do I install the cartridge in a Savin SP-C220DN, and what step do people often miss?

Open the front cover, pull out the old black cartridge, remove the seal from the new SuppliesMax 406046 unit, shake it gently side-to-side, then slide it in until it clicks. People often forget to pull the sealing tape completely, which causes blank pages.

When will I need to replace this black toner, and is there a separate drum to watch?

Replace the cartridge after roughly 2000 pages at 5 % coverage. The Savin SP-C220 series uses a separate photoconductor unit that typically lasts longer; check the printer’s drum-life alert and swap that unit when prompted.

What is the first limit I’ll hit during a long print run with this cartridge?

The 2000-page yield at 5 % coverage is the first hard limit; once the toner is exhausted the printer will stop and require a new cartridge before printing can continue.
