The cartridges serve as direct replacements for the Brother TN-9500_2PK-MICR part number. They are manufactured to OEM specifications in ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified facilities. The upgrade is worthwhile when high-volume MICR output is needed without the OEM price premium.

Buyers who need bank-compliant magnetic toner for the HL-2460 or HL-2460N will find this pack fits the workflow. It does not work in the HL-L2460DW or HL-L2460DWXL models, so owners of those printers must seek a different cartridge.

Questions about this item

Will this TN-9500 MICR cartridge fit my Brother HL-2460N printer?

Yes, it is a compatible replacement for the Brother TN-9500 MICR cartridge and fits the Brother HL-2460 and HL-2460N models. It does not work in the HL-L2460DW or HL-L2460DWXL.

What is the correct way to install the cartridge and what step is often missed?

Open the front cover, remove the old cartridge, unpack the new one, gently rock it five or six times to distribute the magnetic toner evenly, pull the sealing tape completely out, then slide the cartridge in until it clicks and close the cover.

When will I need to replace the drum unit while using these MICR toner cartridges?

The drum unit is separate from the toner cartridge. Replace the drum when the printer indicates end of life or when print quality shows streaks or fading that a new toner cartridge does not fix.
