MICR Toner for Check Printing

This SuppliesMAX cartridge replaces the Troy 02-81036-001 MICR toner. It uses magnetic toner formulated for secure check and barcode printing on compatible HP LaserJet and Troy printers. The cartridge is manufactured to OEM specifications for bank-compliant output. It is engineered for reliable installation in supported 110V U.S.-based printers.

2500 Pages at 5% Coverage

The cartridge yields up to 2500 pages at 0.05 coverage for consistent, high-volume printing. Magnetic toner density meets banking standards for MICR readability. Yield decreases with graphics-heavy pages or dense text beyond the standard coverage. It is not suited for environments requiring colour output or non-MICR toner formulations.

Replaces Troy 02-81036-001

This part number is compatible with Troy 02-81036-001, TRS02-81036-500, Clover CTG49AM and CIG113858P. It fits HP LaserJet 1160, 1320 and 3390 series devices as listed. Buyers needing a different page yield or a non-MICR cartridge for standard documents cannot use this product.

Questions about this item

Will the SuppliesMAX Troy 02-81036-001 MICR toner work in my older HP LaserJet 1160 that I still use for check printing?

Yes, this cartridge is listed as compatible with the HP LaserJet 1160 and 1160LE models, as well as the Troy 1160 series, so it will fit and function in your existing printer.

How can I verify the magnetic toner is producing bank-compliant MICR output after I install the cartridge?

Print a test check or MICR font sample and confirm the E-13B characters are sharp, dark, and readable by a magnetic scanner; the toner is manufactured to OEM specifications for secure check and barcode printing.

Does the single-pack box include a drum unit or waste-toner container, or must I buy those separately?

The package contains one compatible MICR toner cartridge only; the drum and any waste-toner components are separate consumables that stay in the printer and are not included in this box.
