What the cartridge does and who needs it

The SuppliesMax Troy 02-81037-001 is a new compatible MICR toner cartridge built for secure check and barcode printing. It replaces Troy original equipment in HP LaserJet 1320 and 3390 series printers as well as Troy MICR 1320 devices. The magnetic formulation meets banking standards for machine-readable output. It is not suited for users who only print standard documents and do not require MICR encoding.

Thermals noise and power in normal use

The cartridge operates inside supported 110V U.S.-based laser printers without adding heat or noise beyond the printer's normal profile. Power draw follows the host device's standard consumption for a 6000-page yield cartridge at 5% coverage. No extra cooling or electrical provision is needed beyond what the listed printers already supply.

What the bundled items change

The single-pack cartridge arrives ready to install with no separate drums, chips or software bundles included. Its OEM-specification build aims to deliver bank-compliant print quality and reliable feeding from the first page. Packaging may vary but does not affect the cartridge's magnetic toner performance or page yield.

Questions about this item

How do I install the cartridge in an HP LaserJet 1320, and what step do people often miss?

Open the front cover, remove the old cartridge, gently rock the new cartridge side-to-side five or six times to distribute the magnetic toner evenly, pull the sealing tape straight out, then slide the cartridge in until it clicks.

What part will need replacement after the 6000-page yield is reached?

The entire cartridge is a single consumable; once the magnetic toner is exhausted you replace the whole unit, there is no separate drum or developer to service.

At what coverage level does the 6000-page rating apply, and what happens if I print denser cheques?

The rating is based on 5% page coverage; printing fuller MICR lines or heavier graphics will reduce the actual page count proportionally.
