Yellow Refill Bottle for Canon PIXMA

This yellow refill ink bottle is a compatible replacement for Canon part 1598C001 and GI-290Y. It is designed for owners of Canon PIXMA G-series MegaTank printers who need a high-yield yellow ink supply for colour documents and photos. The bottle delivers up to 7000 pages at 5% coverage using premium ink formulated for vibrant colour and sharp text.

Installation and common issues

Refilling is straightforward: open the printer’s ink tank, align the bottle nozzle with the yellow fill port, and squeeze gently until the tank is full. The bottle’s keyed nozzle prevents insertion into the wrong colour tank. The most frequent issue is overfilling, which can cause leakage; stop when the ink reaches the upper limit line. Air bubbles may appear but usually clear after a short settling period.

Compatibility checklist before ordering

Confirm your printer model appears in the supported list: PIXMA G1200, G1510, G2200, G2510, G3200, G3501, G3510, G4200, G4210, or G4510. Verify the machine operates on 110V power as sold in the U.S. market. Ensure you are replacing the yellow (Y) tank and not the cyan, magenta, or black tanks. Check that the existing OEM part number matches 1598C001, GI-290Y, 1606C001, or GI-590Y.
