Two-Computer USB VGA KVM Switch

This new suranus GCS22U KVM switch lets one VGA monitor, USB keyboard and USB mouse control two computers. It is aimed at home-office users or small-business desks that need to multitask across a pair of legacy or mixed-OS systems without extra hardware. The unit draws power from the connected computers so no external adapter is required.

2048 x 1536 Maximum Video Resolution

The switch supports VGA output up to 2048 x 1536, which is the single specification that determines whether your monitor and graphics outputs are compatible. If your display or source requires a higher resolution or a digital interface such as DVI, HDMI or DisplayPort, this KVM will not meet the need.

Cabled Design With Wired Remote Button

Integrated cables eliminate separate cord purchases and the 6 ft remote button sits on the desk for instant computer switching. Full Mac keyboard support and programmable-mouse compatibility extend usability across Windows 2000 or higher, Mac OS 9.0 or higher and Sun Solaris 9 or higher without driver installation.

Questions about this item

What resolution will I actually see on my monitor with the 2048 x 1536 rating?

The switch passes video up to 2048 x 1536, so your monitor will display its native resolution provided it does not exceed that limit.

What does the USB connection limit me to when switching between the two computers?

The USB link carries keyboard and mouse signals only; it does not transmit video or support USB peripherals such as drives or printers.

How much desk space do the attached cables and remote button need?

Each computer connects through a fixed 6 ft cable bundle, and the wired remote switch adds another 6 ft cable that sits on the desk for easy reach.
