24-Inch Carpet Protection Roll

This self-adhesive film covers carpeted floors during renovation, moving or heavy foot traffic. The clear LDPE material lets the original carpet colour show through while guarding against spills and dirt. It is sized for professional contractors and homeowners who need a wide, continuous barrier.

Adhesive-Backed Liquid-Resistant Film

The acrylic adhesive bonds directly to carpet fibres without mechanical fasteners, and the 2.5 mil thickness resists tearing during application. Liquid resistance stops paint, water or mud from soaking through to the padding beneath. The roll format allows quick unrolling and cutting to fit any room layout.

1,000 Square Feet Coverage Per Roll

At 24 inches wide by 500 feet long, a single roll protects up to 1,000 square feet of carpeted area. The film is not fire-resistant or slip-resistant, so it should not be relied on for flame-retardant requirements or high-traction walkways. Recyclable LDPE construction supports disposal in standard plastic streams.

Questions about this item

How often will the 2.5 mil film need replacing on a high-traffic carpet?

The roll covers 1,000 sq ft; replacement frequency depends on foot traffic intensity and how quickly the acrylic adhesive loses grip or the surface becomes soiled.

What is the first limit reached when the 24 in wide film is left down for weeks?

Extended dwell time can cause the acrylic adhesive to bond more aggressively, making clean removal harder and risking residue on carpet fibres.

Does the clear LDPE film trap heat or moisture when left on carpet all day?

The 2.5 mil film is liquid-resistant but not breathable, so condensation can form underneath if the carpet releases moisture during temperature changes.
