Portable Hi-Res Audio Player

The Surfans F20 Pro is a new portable digital audio player running Android 12 on an octa-core processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. It targets listeners who want local Hi-Res playback and streaming apps in a single pocket-sized device.

Dual DAC and Balanced Output

Dual ESS9018K2M DAC chips and dual OPA1612 op-amps achieve distortion as low as .0008% for a wide soundstage and natural timbre. The 4.4mm balanced output delivers up to 500mW @32 to drive full-size headphones, while the 3.5mm jack suits sensitive IEMs.

Wireless Connectivity and Expandable Storage

Bluetooth LDAC and dual-band WiFi on 2.4G and 5G provide stable streaming for Spotify and Tidal plus fast firmware updates. A microSD slot supports up to 1TB expandable storage for large DSD512 and 192kHz/24-bit PCM libraries.

Questions about this item

Will the battery be user-replaceable when it eventually degrades?

The player is a sealed portable unit; battery replacement requires professional service rather than a user-swappable compartment.

What limits continuous high-volume playback through the 4.4 mm balanced jack?

The 500 mW @ 32 Ω output stage and thermal envelope of the dual ESS9018K2M DACs set the practical ceiling for sustained high-power listening.

How warm does the chassis get and does the fan spin during all-day streaming?

There is no internal fan; the aluminium chassis acts as a passive heatsink and becomes noticeably warm but not hot during extended Wi-Fi and Bluetooth LDAC streaming.
