Questions about this item

How do I attach the objective cover to my CL Companion binocular, and what is the common mistake?

Press the cover straight onto the objective lens housing until it seats flush; the common mistake is tilting it during installation, which leaves a gap that lets dust and moisture reach the lens.

What part of this cover will wear out first and need replacement?

The internal friction fit that grips the objective housing loosens over time, so the cover itself is the component that eventually requires replacement.

What is the first limitation you notice when using this cover continuously in wet conditions?

The cover is not sealed, so prolonged rain or immersion allows moisture to reach the objective lens despite the cover being in place.
