Compatible Refrigerator Filter

This Swift Green SGF-WF1CB Rx cartridge fits refrigerators using part numbers such as WFCB, WF1CB, 240394501, NGRG-2000, RF-100, RG-100, 218710901 and 218710902. It is designed for households that want a direct replacement filter certified to NSF and ANSI 42, 53 and 401 standards. The filter targets volatile organic compounds, pharmaceuticals, chlorine taste and odour, lead, cysts and mercury while retaining beneficial minerals and fluoride. It is not an original equipment manufacturer part and is not authorised by the OEM.

Passive Operation

The cartridge operates without electricity, so it adds no power draw, noise or heat to the kitchen. Water flows through a coconut-shell carbon block that provides up to 50 percent more filtering pores than conventional media. Because the system is entirely passive, thermals and acoustics are determined solely by the refrigerator itself. Replacement is recommended every three to six months for continued performance.

Tool-Free Installation

The white filter housing snaps into the refrigerator’s existing filter housing with a simple quarter-turn, requiring no tools or plumbing skills. Its compact cartridge form factor matches the OEM footprint, so no extra clearance or mounting hardware is needed. The BPA-free, lead-free and arsenic-free construction uses renewable coconut carbon, reducing plastic bottle waste. Buyers who need a filter for a non-listed refrigerator model or who require a different certification should verify compatibility before purchase.

Questions about this item

How do I install the SGF-WF1CB filter and what step do people often miss?

Twist the old cartridge counter-clockwise to remove it, insert the new filter, then twist clockwise until it locks; the step many miss is flushing 2–3 gallons of water through the new cartridge before first use to clear carbon fines.

What maintenance or replacement will this filter need later?

Replace the cartridge every three to six months, or sooner if flow drops or taste changes; no other serviceable parts are involved.

What limit appears first under sustained use?

The 50 % increase in filtering pores from the coconut-shell carbon gradually saturates, so contaminant reduction for VOCs, pharmaceuticals, lead and cysts declines after the rated service interval.
