A compact 12-inch guillotine trimmer cuts up to 10 sheets with a dual-scale alignment grid and safety guard rail
The Swingline 9312A is a compact guillotine trimmer built on a lightweight plastic base for easy transport. It uses a sharp blade to cut paper, photos and similar materials cleanly. An integrated alignment grid and dual-scale ruler support accurate measuring in inches and centimetres. A guard rail and blade latch hook provide safety during use and storage.
This trimmer replaces hand scissors or rotary cutters when you need straight, repeatable cuts on small stacks. The jump is worth it for anyone regularly trimming up to 10 sheets of 20-pound paper at once. It is not suited for heavy-volume jobs or materials thicker than the rated capacity.
The 12-inch cutting length restricts the maximum width of media you can trim in a single pass. The 10-sheet capacity caps throughput for larger batches. The plastic base keeps weight low at 1.3699 kilograms but may flex under aggressive force. No powered or automated cutting features are included.

The trimmer base measures 14 inches deep by 17.625 inches wide, so allow at least that footprint plus a little clearance for the swing-arm motion.
Users forget to flip the blade latch hook forward before lifting the cutting arm; the arm stays locked until the hook is fully disengaged.
Replace the blade when cuts on 20 lb paper become ragged or require noticeably more force, typically after several thousand cuts.
