Heavy-Duty Trimmer for Offices and Schools

The Swingline 98150 guillotine trimmer is built for environments with heavy-duty trimming needs such as offices and schools. Its large, sturdy metal base provides ample workspace and long-lasting durability. An alignment grid and dual scale ruler support precise measuring for every cut. The unit handles a 14 cut length for standard paper sizes.

Stable Metal Base Keeps Operation Quiet

The heavy metal base dampens vibration so the trimmer runs quietly during normal use. No motor or fan is present, so power draw is zero and there is no thermal output to manage. The manual lever action produces only a brief mechanical sound when the blade engages. This makes it suitable for shared workspaces where noise must stay low.

Questions about this item

How do I set up the 14" guillotine trimmer on a desk, and what step is often missed?

Place the metal base on a flat, stable surface; the step many skip is checking that the alignment grid and dual scale ruler sit perfectly level before the first cut.

Which parts of the Swingline 98150 will need replacement after heavy use?

The cutting blade will dull over time and should be replaced; the dual scale ruler markings can also wear off and may need a new ruler strip.
