Handheld stapler for light office use

The Swingline S7009901P is a compact manual stapler designed for everyday desktop tasks. Its soft-grip handle and contoured shape suit users who staple small batches intermittently rather than in long sessions. It holds a half-strip of 105 standard staples and includes a low-staple indicator for timely refills. This model is not suited for high-volume binding or thick document sets beyond its rated limit.

Consistent fastening up to rated capacity

Under repeated use the stapler secures up to 20 sheets of paper per action with standard 1/4-inch leg staples. The spring-loaded magazine allows quick reloading without tools, maintaining workflow during steady operation. Performance remains stable for typical multi-page documents, though it is not designed for continuous heavy-duty cycles or materials exceeding the 20-sheet maximum. The mechanism delivers reliable closure across the full staple strip.

Low-effort operation with minimal strain

The lightweight plastic body and ergonomic grip reduce hand fatigue during normal stapling tasks. Manual leverage requires only moderate force to drive staples through the maximum sheet count. No motor or external power is involved, so noise is limited to the mechanical click of each staple. The compact footprint of 1.3 by 5.5 by 5 inches keeps the unit unobtrusive on a desk or in a drawer.

Questions about this item

How much force is needed to staple 20 sheets all day without hand fatigue?

The soft ergonomic grip and contoured shape are designed for comfort during repeated handheld use, and the spring-loaded lid makes reloading quick so you can keep working.

What staples must I already have for the S7009901P to work?

It works best with Swingline Standard Staples that have 1/4 length legs and holds a half strip of 105 staples.

Will it jam if I also use it for lighter jobs of 15 sheets?

The stapler fastens up to 20 sheets and the low-staple indicator helps avoid misfires, so 15-sheet tasks are well within its capacity.
