Ultra-compact travel umbrella

The SY COMPACT folding black 01 is a manual mini umbrella built for travellers who need rain protection that disappears into a bag. Weighing 10.22 oz and collapsing to 7.64 inch, it targets commuters and light packers who prioritise minimal bulk over maximum canopy span.

Eight-rib alloy frame with metal shaft

The eight-rib construction creates a tighter canopy than six-rib models, improving wind resistance and coverage without requiring a larger folded footprint. A Velcro strap secures the closed canopy, so the umbrella stays neat inside a briefcase, backpack or glove compartment until you need it.

Manual push-twist opening mechanism

No automatic spring means fewer moving parts to fail and a slimmer profile when stowed. The waterproof coating sheds water quickly, letting you return the wet umbrella to its bag after a short shake. Manufacturer offers a free replacement if the unit does not meet expectations.

Questions about this item

How small does the SY COMPACT folding black 01 umbrella collapse for all-day carry?

It folds to 7.64 inch and weighs 10.22 oz, so it fits in a bag without adding noticeable bulk during extended use.

Does the manual mechanism or the alloy frame generate heat or noise after hours in wind and rain?

The manual push-twist opening and alloy shaft operate silently and stay at ambient temperature because there are no powered parts.

What must I already own for this umbrella to function straight out of the box?

Nothing — the 8-rib canopy, metal shaft and Velcro strap are all integrated, so it works immediately without extra accessories.
