Locking SFP Port Blocker

The Syba SY-ACC24084 is a physical security device that locks unused SFP ports on network switches and servers. It prevents unauthorised cables, modules or foreign objects from being inserted without a dedicated removal tool. Network administrators use it to enforce port-level access control in data centres and secure facilities.

Proprietary Four-Key Locking System

Each blocker uses one of four unique flush-mounted lock patterns rather than a single universal key. The matching removal tool engages only the corresponding pattern, so a key for one port cannot release another. This design eliminates the risk of a single compromised key exposing every protected port.

Four Ports Per Pack with Removal Tool

The package supplies four green blockers and one pull tool, securing up to four SFP ports simultaneously. It addresses the need to lock down a small group of critical uplinks or management ports. Environments requiring protection across dozens of ports will need additional packs.

Questions about this item

What does the SFP port blocker actually stop once it is installed in a switch?

It physically locks into an empty SFP cage to prevent anyone from inserting a transceiver, cable or foreign object without the matching removal key.

Which port type and locking mechanism does the SY-ACC24084 use?

It is designed for standard SFP cages and uses four unique proprietary keys so each blocker can only be removed with its own tool.

How much space does each blocker and its removal tool occupy in a rack or patch panel?

Each blocker sits flush inside the SFP port and the pull tool is a small handheld device that stores easily in a tool bag.
