What it is and who it is for

The SYNCWIRE 10 ft Toslink Digital Optical Audio Cable carries uncompressed PCM and compressed 5.1 to 7.1 surround sound between devices with standard optical ports. It suits home-theatre owners, sound-bar users and gamers connecting a PS4, Xbox or PlayStation to a receiver, DAC or TV.

What to check before ordering

Verify that both source and destination equipment have Toslink (S/PDIF) sockets and that a 10 ft run covers the distance without tension. The cable uses male-to-male connectors; no adapters are included, so ensure neither end requires a 3.5 mm mini-optical plug.

Thermals noise and power draw

As a passive fibre-optic cable it draws no power, generates no heat and produces no audible noise. The 24K gold-plated connectors resist corrosion and the PVC jacket with removable rubber tips protects the fibre core during handling and long-term installation.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and do I need any adapters for 3.5 mm optical ports?

The cable is a 10 ft Toslink male-to-male cord with removable rubber tip protectors. A 3.5 mm mini-Toslink adapter is not included and must be purchased separately if your device uses that smaller port.

The listing mentions 24K gold-plated connectors — is that the only version available?

Yes, the supplied model uses 24K gold-plated Toslink connectors on both ends; no alternative plating or connector options are offered for this product.

Will this cable carry Dolby TrueHD and 7.1 surround sound from my console to a sound bar?

The fiber core supports uncompressed PCM and compressed 5.1 to 7.1 formats including Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Digital, so multi-channel surround sound passes through without distortion.
