Questions about this item

What comes with the C2-BACKUP500G-1Y-NA license and do I need to buy a Synology NAS separately?

The C2-BACKUP500G-1Y-NA is a cloud backup licence for 500 GB of storage valid for one year; a compatible Synology NAS must be purchased separately to use the service.

How do I decide between the 500 GB one-year licence and other capacity or duration options?

Choose the 500 GB one-year licence if your critical data set fits within 500 GB and you prefer annual renewal; larger capacities or multi-year terms suit bigger data sets or longer planning horizons.

What does the 500 GB figure mean once the licence is activated on my NAS?

After activation you can protect up to 500 GB of files, system images and application data from that NAS in Synology's C2 cloud for the licence period.
