Standalone flash-to-disc duplicator

The Systor PMBC-P-09 copies data between USB, SD, CF and optical media without a computer. It writes one source to as many as nine target DVD drives in a single run. The unit also duplicates flash-to-flash, disc-to-flash and disc-to-disc with 128 MB of buffer memory.

DVD write limits

Maximum DVD write speed is 24X for single-layer +R and -R, 12X for dual-layer and DVD-RAM, and 8X for rewritable media. CD recording tops out at 48X for CD-R and 32X for CD-RW. Sustained transfer rate is 33 MB/s across all supported formats.

Front-panel media slots and SATA drives

Built-in readers accept USB 1.1 through USB 3.2, full-size SD, microSD with adapter, CompactFlash I and II, and Memory Stick variants. Nine internal SATA DVD writers handle the disc targets. The standalone design means no host software or drivers are required for any operation.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 1-to-9 target model or a smaller unit?

The PMBC-P-09 writes to nine drives simultaneously, so choose it when you need to produce up to nine identical DVDs or CDs in one run.

What does the 24X DVD+R speed mean when I am burning discs?

At 24X the duplicator can write a standard single-layer DVD+R in roughly five to six minutes per batch of nine.

Does the SATA interface limit the flash-to-disc transfer rate?

The internal SATA links feed the 33 MB/s buffer, so flash-to-disc copies run at the duplicator's rated 33 MB/s without a SATA bottleneck.
