Clear Heavy-Duty Mounting Tape

This transparent double-sided tape provides a permanent bond for indoor and outdoor projects. It adheres to metal, glass, wood, concrete, brick, tile and ceramic as an alternative to mechanical fasteners. The clear finish keeps the adhesive line discreet on transparent surfaces. It is suited for DIYers and tradespeople needing strong, weather-resistant mounting.

30-lb Roll Capacity and Temperature Limits

One roll holds up to 30 lbs total, with a guideline of four inches of tape for every two pounds of load. The tape withstands service temperatures from -40F to 200F for year-round durability. Application must occur between 50F and 100F on clean, dry, flat surfaces. It will not adhere to polyethylene or polypropylene plastics.

Upgrade from Nails, Screws and Basic Tapes

This product replaces nails, screws, staples or standard glues where a fast, tool-free installation is preferred. The jump is worth it when you need all-weather holding power on smooth, rigid substrates without visible hardware. It is not suited for porous, flexible or low-surface-energy plastics that prevent a permanent bond.

Questions about this item

Will the 1 in x 60 in roll bond securely to the metal brackets I already have installed?

Yes, the tape forms a permanent bond to metal and other surfaces such as glass, wood, concrete, brick, tile and ceramic, holding up to 30 lbs per roll.

How can I confirm the tape is holding properly once I have mounted the object?

After pressing the object to the surface for 30 seconds, the adhesive builds strength over 24 hours; full hold is reached at that point.

Does the pack include any cleaning supplies or a scouring pad for surface prep?

The box contains one roll of clear double-sided tape only; a lint-free cloth and 50/50 water-isopropyl alcohol mix are recommended but not included.
