Tamiya Tiran 5 Tank 1/35 Scale Kit

This 1/35 scale plastic model kit from Tamiya depicts the Israeli Tiran 5 main battle tank in its 1980 configuration. It is designed for adult hobbyists and collectors who enjoy building and painting detailed military vehicles. The kit arrives in manufacturer's original unopened packaging with vintage-style box art.

Builders who want a detailed armour project

The box contains commander and loader torso figures plus decals for the 1980 variant, suiting modellers who appreciate crew details and specific historical markings. Painters who prefer snap-fit kits without glue or pre-coloured parts should look elsewhere, as cement and paint are required and not supplied.

1/35 scale military vehicle kit requiring paint

This is a traditional glue-together kit moulded in light brown plastic with chrome-plated small parts for added realism. Assembly demands modelling cement and hobby paints, which must be purchased separately. The finished model replicates the Tiran 5's modified gun, M2 heavy machine guns and turret storage details.

Questions about this item

How often will the decals need replacing if the model is displayed long-term?

The kit includes fresh decal sheets in the sealed box; they are applied once during assembly and require no scheduled replacement unless damaged.

What part of the build is most likely to slow progress during an extended session?

The numerous small chrome-plated parts and the detailed auxiliary equipment such as the storage box and water tanks demand careful fitting and cement drying time.

Does the assembled model generate any heat or noise when left on a shelf all day?

No — it is a static plastic kit with no motors, electronics or moving components, so it produces neither heat nor sound.
