Ultra-wide zoom for APS-C RF

The Tamron 11-20mm f/2.8 Di III-A RXD is built for Canon RF-mount APS-C mirrorless cameras. It covers an 18-32mm equivalent range with a constant f/2.8 aperture, making it suited to landscape, architecture and astrophotography work. The bundle adds a sling backpack, 64GB SDXC card, 67mm filter kit, flexible tripod, cleaning kit, hand strap, pouches and software. Photographers needing full-frame coverage or longer telephoto reach should look elsewhere.

Mounts directly on Canon RF APS-C bodies

The lens attaches natively to the RF mount with no adapter required, and the RXD stepping motor drives fast, quiet autofocus for stills and video. A 5.9" minimum focus distance at 11mm allows close-up wide-angle perspectives. Moisture-resistant construction and a fluorine-coated front element help in damp or dusty conditions, while the included filter kit threads onto the 67mm front. The flexible tripod legs are short and best used on stable surfaces.

Constant f/2.8 across 11-20mm

The fixed aperture holds at f/2.8 throughout the zoom, giving consistent exposure and depth-of-field control from 11mm to 20mm. XLD, LD and GM elements with BBAR-G2 coating suppress chromatic aberration, distortion, flare and ghosting. The 64GB UHS-I card stores plenty of RAW files, but extended 4K video sessions or high-volume bursts will fill it quickly. The seven-blade diaphragm produces smooth background rendition when stopping down.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the RXD motor is focusing silently and accurately at the 5.9" minimum distance?

Switch to AF, point at a close subject near the 5.9" mark, and listen for near-silent stepping while the viewfinder snaps to sharp focus.

Which items in the bundle are included versus sold separately?

The box contains the 11-20mm f/2.8 lens, sling backpack, 64GB SDXC card, 67mm filter kit, 12-inch flexible tripod, cleaning kit, hand strap, 5-inch pouch, card wallet, card reader and lens cap keeper.

Should I choose this 11-20mm f/2.8 over a variable-aperture ultra-wide for my APS-C RF body?

The constant f/2.8 across the 11-20mm range gives consistent exposure and depth of field from 18-32mm equivalent, which a variable aperture cannot match.
