All-in-One Zoom Range

This Tamron zoom covers 28 to 200mm with a maximum aperture of f/2.8 at the wide end, making it the first full-frame mirrorless lens of its kind. It fits Sony E-mount cameras and gives APS-C users a 42 to 300mm equivalent range. The lightweight 20.3 oz build and 4.6 inch length suit travel and everyday shooting.

Simple Mount and Lock

The lens attaches directly to any Sony E-mount body with no adapter required. An RXD stepping motor drives autofocus quietly for both stills and video. A zoom lock switch prevents the barrel from extending when the camera is carried on a strap. Moisture-resistant construction and a fluorine coating on the front element add protection during outdoor use.

Check Mount and Sensor Format

Confirm the camera uses the Sony E mount before ordering. Full-frame bodies use the native 28 to 200mm range while APS-C models deliver a 42 to 300mm equivalent field of view. The maximum aperture narrows to f/5.6 at 200mm, so buyers who need constant f/2.8 throughout the zoom should consider other options.
