10 x 10 white poly tarp

This tarp measures 10 by 10 feet and is built from UV-treated polyethylene. The material weighs 6 ounces per square yard and is 11-12 mil thick. It is designed for heavy-duty outdoor and indoor use.

Light transmission and tie-down spacing

The white fabric is translucent, allowing light to pass through while blocking rain, snow and sun. Grommets are placed roughly every 18 inches along the edges and at each corner. This spacing gives multiple attachment points but fixes the maximum distance between tie-downs.

11-12 mil thickness

The 11-12 mil thickness is the single figure that determines whether this tarp suits the job. Thinner sheets tear faster under wind or abrasion; heavier grades add weight and stiffness. Match this thickness to the expected load and duration of cover.

Questions about this item

Is the 10' x 10' size right for a standard canopy frame?

The finished size is 10 feet by 10 feet, matching common canopy top dimensions; reinforced corners and grommets every 18 inches give plenty of tie-down points.

What does the 6 oz fabric weight mean for daily outdoor use?

At 6 ounces per square yard the polyethylene is thick enough to resist tearing, mildew and acid while staying flexible in cold weather.

How does the 11-12 Mil thickness affect waterproofing and light transmission?

The 11 to 12 Mil laminate blocks water completely yet stays translucent, so light passes through while rain, snow and UV are kept out.
