Heavy-duty poly tarp for outdoor cover

This new 10 x 12 ft black polyethylene tarp weighs 6 oz per square yard and measures 11-12 mil thick with a 14x14 weave. It blocks 100 percent of sun rays and resists water, mildew, acid and tears. Rustproof aluminum grommets appear every 18 inches and at each corner for secure tie-downs. Suitable for vehicles, boats, firewood, camping and shade structures.

Check finished dimensions and grommet spacing

Verify the finished size meets your coverage area because the 10 x 12 ft label refers to the cut size before hemming. Ensure the 18-inch grommet interval matches your anchor points or rope layout. Confirm the black colour is acceptable for the intended location since it absorbs heat.

Behaviour under prolonged exposure

The UV-treated polyethylene maintains waterproofing and tear resistance during extended sun, rain and snow contact. Grommets remain rustproof so tie-downs do not degrade over long deployments. Fabric weight and weave density distribute stress evenly across the sheet under sustained wind or snow load. Mildew and acid resistance prevent material breakdown during seasonal storage.

Questions about this item

Does the tarp ship with ropes or bungee cords, or must I buy them separately?

Only the tarp with rustproof aluminum grommets is included; ropes, bungee cords or other tie-downs are not supplied.

Should I choose the 10 x 12 ft size or a different dimension for covering a standard car?

The 10 x 12 ft sheet covers most compact cars; measure your vehicle first and select a larger tarp if you need extra overhang.

What does the 12 mil thickness actually mean when the tarp is stretched over a load?

At 11-12 mil with a 14x14 weave and 6 oz fabric weight, the material resists tearing and punctures while staying flexible in cold weather.
