Product identity and purpose

The Tarps Direct 10' x 12' red poly tarp is a lightweight 3.3 oz per square foot cover rated at 7-8 mil thickness. It suits homeowners and contractors needing a general-purpose sheet for woodpiles, outdoor furniture or equipment protection.

Bundled features and their effect

Grommets placed every 36 inches and at the corners provide multiple tie-down points for secure fastening. The UV-treated, high-visibility red material resists acid, tearing and mildew while remaining waterproof for extended outdoor exposure.

Setup checks before ordering

The listed dimensions are cut size, so the finished tarp will measure approximately 6 inches or 3-5% shorter on each side. Verify that the reduced coverage still meets your project requirements before purchasing.

Questions about this item

How often will the grommets on this 10' x 12' tarp need replacing under normal outdoor use?

The grommets are spaced every 36 inches and at corners for tie-downs; they are built into the hem and typically last the life of the tarp unless torn out by extreme wind or sharp hardware.

What is the first limitation you hit when this 3.3 oz poly tarp is left in continuous sun?

UV treatment extends durability, but prolonged intense sunlight will eventually degrade the polyethylene, making it brittle before the waterproof coating fails.

Does the 8 mil thickness make this tarp noticeably heavier or hotter when covering equipment all day?

At 3.3 ounces per square foot the tarp stays lightweight, and the red polyethylene does not trap heat against covered items during extended daytime use.
