20 x 40 Forest Green Medium Duty Tarp

This polyethylene tarp measures 20 by 40 feet and weighs 4.5 ounces per square yard. It is built for landscaping, construction, camping and equipment protection. The forest green colour blends with wooded surroundings. Rustproof aluminium grommets appear every 36 inches and at each corner.

Upgrade from economy blue tarps

The 10 mil thickness and 10 x 10 weave count give better tear, mildew and acid resistance than lightweight alternatives. UV treatment extends life in direct sunlight, rain and snow. Buyers who need a heavier industrial grade or a larger covered area should look elsewhere.

Simple tie-down installation

Reinforced hems with poly twine and evenly spaced grommets make securing the tarp straightforward. Remember the cut size runs 6 inches or 3 to 5 percent shorter after hemming, so plan coverage accordingly. Avoid over-tensioning corners to prevent grommet pull-out.

Grommets are placed approximately every 36 inches along the edges and at each corner.

How is the hem finished so it holds up when tied down?

The hem is reinforced with poly twine sewn into the folded edge before the grommets are inserted.

When should the tarp be replaced if used outdoors year-round?

Replace it once the UV-treated polyethylene becomes brittle, loses water beading, or shows tears that cannot be patched.
