Compact 10x binocular for everyday carry

This Tasco 168125 model offers 10x magnification in a roof-prism body that weighs 10.56 oz. Fully coated optics and a 300 ft field of view support general outdoor viewing. The 2.5 in length makes it easy to pack in a bag or large pocket.

Suits users who want a lightweight glass

The close focus of 30 ft limits near-subject observation such as insects or flowers. No tripod mount means extended steady viewing is difficult. Buyers who need waterproof construction or a wider field should consider other models.

10x magnification in a 10.56 oz roof-prism chassis

This single specification defines the balance between reach and portability. The fixed 10x power and fully coated lenses determine image brightness and detail at distance. Verify that the 30 ft minimum focus and lack of weather sealing match your intended use.

Questions about this item

Do I need a tripod adapter for the 168125 model?

No, this compact binocular is not tripod mountable, so you do not need an adapter.

Will the 300 ft field of view work with my older 7x binoculars for comparison?

Yes, the 10x magnification and 300 ft field of view are independent optical specs; you can compare views side by side with any other binocular.

How can I confirm the fully coated lenses are performing correctly after unpacking?

Aim at a bright distant scene; the image should be sharp from centre to edge with no colour fringing, and the 30 ft minimum focus should render close objects clearly.
