TASCO 2552 Sound Star 23 dB Neckband Blue

Hearing protection for noisy tasks

The TASCO 2552 Sound Star earmuffs provide a Noise Reduction Rating of 23 dB for workers in industrial and construction settings. They meet ANSI S3.19 1974 and CSA Class B standards for reliable attenuation. A foldable behind-the-neck design allows them to sit comfortably with hard hats, face shields and other personal protection equipment. Soft-Seal PVC ear cushions on a four-point suspension distribute pressure evenly during extended wear.

Fits into a safety system without extra bulk

The stainless-steel neckband slips behind the head so the cups clear helmet brims and visor mounts. Cups fold flat for compact storage in a tool bag or locker when not in use. Dielectric construction is not featured, so the band conducts electricity and must be assessed for electrical-hazard zones. Replacement pads are available under part number 3NHJ4 to extend the service life of the set.

Steady attenuation during long shifts

The four-point suspension holds each cup at a consistent distance from the ear, maintaining the rated 23 dB reduction even when the wearer moves or perspires. PVC cushions resist compression set better than foam, so sealing force stays stable over hours of continuous use. The foldable hinge mechanism is built for repeated cycles without loosening the cup alignment. This model is not suited for environments that require dielectric-rated hearing protection.
