The TAURKENAM AutoLink AL329 is a handheld OBD2/EOBD diagnostic tool for vehicles from 1996 onward. It reads and clears generic and manufacturer-specific trouble codes, displays freeze-frame data and streams live sensor readings. The built-in One-Click I/M Readiness key checks emission-monitor status before a state inspection. Auto VIN retrieval works on supported models prior to 2017.

Installation and Common Issues

Plug the scanner into the vehicle OBD-II port and power it from the car battery; no external supply or software install is required. The unit automatically detects the protocol on most compliant vehicles. Coverage gaps appear on some newer models and on vehicles that do not fully implement the OBD-II standard, so certain manufacturer codes or live-data parameters may be unavailable.

OBD-II Interface Limits

The tool communicates over the standard OBD-II connector using the protocols mandated for 1996 and newer vehicles. It cannot access proprietary dealer-level modules, body-control systems or advanced driver-assist networks that sit outside the legislated emission-data set. Bi-directional control tests and module programming are not supported. Auto VIN and readiness-test functions are limited to vehicles built before 2017.
