Indoor Outdoor Weather Station

The Taylor 24BW02 is a wireless weather station for home use that displays indoor and outdoor temperature, humidity, atomic time and a 12 to 24 hour forecast on a large colour screen. It supports up to three remote sensors so users can monitor multiple rooms or outside zones from one console.

Sustained Monitoring Behaviour

The console runs on corded electric power with a USB port available, allowing continuous operation without battery changes during extended tracking periods. Wireless sensors transmit data at regular intervals so the station maintains current readings for temperature and humidity trends across day and night cycles.

Build And Daily Use

The black unit measures 14.33in W x 12.83in H x 9.06in D and weighs 10 ounces, sitting stably on a desk or shelf. A five level adjustable backlight lets you dim the display for bedrooms or brighten it for daytime viewing, while customizable alerts notify you when set temperature thresholds are crossed.

Questions about this item

Does the 10-ounce display unit generate noticeable heat or fan noise when plugged in continuously?

The unit weighs 10 ounces and runs on corded electric power with no moving parts, so it produces no fan noise and negligible heat during all-day operation.

What additional sensor is required to monitor outdoor temperature and humidity with this model?

One wireless outdoor sensor is included in the box, and the station supports up to 3 sensors total for multiple locations.

Will the WWVB atomic clock sync correctly if I keep an older analog wall clock in the same room?

Yes, the WWVB receiver operates independently; nearby analog clocks do not interfere with its automatic time and daylight-saving adjustments.
