Smart Wi-Fi Sensor for Home Monitoring

The Taylor WiFi-IBS-TH3-US-1 combines a thermometer and hygrometer in one compact unit. It measures temperature from -4 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit and humidity from 0 to 99 percent RH. The device connects via Wi-Fi to the INKBIRD app for remote monitoring and alerts. It suits homeowners, reptile keepers and greenhouse growers who need continuous environmental data.

Pocket-Sized Build with Lanyard Mount

A small black body fits inside tight spaces such as cigar cases, guitar cases, refrigerators or glass containers. A lanyard hole allows hanging placement wherever needed. No batteries are included in the package. The sensor operates across the same -4 to 140 degree range it measures, so it withstands the environments it monitors.

Upgrades Standalone Analog Gauges

This unit replaces single-function analog thermometers or hygrometers that lack connectivity and logging. The jump is worth it when you need phone alerts for out-of-range conditions or a full year of historical graphs with exportable data. Recording intervals of 10, 30, 60, 120, 180 or 240 minutes let you balance detail against battery life. Buyers who need local-only readouts without a network connection will not benefit.

Questions about this item

What Wi-Fi standard does the INKBIRD sensor use and what practical limit does it impose?

The sensor connects via Wi-Fi to the INKBIRD app for infinite-distance remote monitoring; no Wi-Fi version or band is specified in the product data.

What physical features let the sensor fit in tight spaces or be mounted?

A pocket-sized body and a lanyard hole allow placement in glass containers, cigar cases, refrigerators, guitar cases or any narrow spot.

How is the sensor set up and which step do users often miss?

Insert batteries, add the device in the INKBIRD app over Wi-Fi, then set the recording interval — skipping the interval choice shortens battery life.
