Two-pack WiFi climate sensors

The Taylor Q-001 is a pair of compact indoor thermometers that measure temperature and humidity, then send readings to a smartphone app over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Each unit weighs 0.1 kg and includes a built-in LED screen for local checks.

Suits remote monitoring, not clinical use

Homeowners who want alerts when a room leaves a preset range will find the Smart Life integration and Alexa voice queries useful. The sensors cannot replace a medical ear thermometer and do not support 5 GHz networks or Bluetooth pairing.

Handles -10 °C to 60 °C and 0-100 % RH

Accuracy sits at ±1 °C for temperature and ±5 % RH for humidity, which is adequate for living spaces, greenhouses or wine cabinets. The non-replaceable internal battery limits long-term service life, and the 2.4 GHz radio may struggle in homes with only 5 GHz coverage.

Questions about this item

What WiFi network standard must my router support for the Q-001 sensors to connect?

Your router must broadcast a 2.4 GHz IEEE 802.11 b/g/n network; the sensors will not join a 5 GHz band.

Will the Q-001 units still show readings on their LED screens if my internet goes down?

Yes, each unit continues to display local temperature and humidity on its built-in LED screen without an internet connection.

How can I verify the Q-001 is reporting accurately after I mount it?

Compare the on-screen reading with a trusted reference thermometer; the sensor's specified accuracy is ±1 °C for temperature and ±5 %RH for humidity.
