Three-Room Monitoring Kit

This system bundles three wireless hygrometer-thermometer sensors with a single SBS50 base station so you can track temperature and humidity in separate rooms from one app. Each sensor uses a Swiss-made element rated at ±0.36 °F and ±2 % RH across a -4 °F to 140 °F range. The base station relays readings to the X-Sense Home Security App over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and sounds a local alarm when thresholds are crossed. Up to twelve users can view live data simultaneously.

Replaces Stand-Alone Analog Gauges

Moving from single-room dial thermometers or basic digital hygrometers gives you continuous 24/7 graphs, custom alerts, and dew-point plus VPD calculations for plant care without manual logging. The jump is worth it when you need historical trends, remote notifications, or Alexa voice queries across multiple zones rather than spot checks in one location. Battery life on alkaline cells reaches about one year per sensor.

2.4 GHz Wi-Fi Only Constraint

The base station connects exclusively to 2.4 GHz networks and will not join a 5.0 GHz SSID, so router band-steering must be disabled or a dedicated 2.4 GHz network provided. Cloud storage and multi-user access depend on that link; if the Wi-Fi drops, local alarm sounds still function but remote viewing and data export pause until connectivity returns. No Ethernet or cellular fallback is included.

Questions about this item

How much space does the 14.33in W x 12.83in H x 9.06in D base station need on a shelf?

The SBS50 base station measures 14.33in wide by 12.83in high by 9.06in deep, so allow at least that footprint plus a few centimetres of clearance for the power cable and airflow.

The system only works on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi — what is the common setup mistake?

Buyers often pair the base station to a 5.0 GHz SSID; the hub will not connect until the phone and base station are both on a 2.4 GHz network during the X-Sense app pairing step.

What ongoing maintenance do the three STH0A sensors require?

Each sensor runs on alkaline cells rated for roughly one year; the app sends a low-battery alert when voltage drops, so plan to swap all three sets annually.
