Digital Hygrometer for Indoor Climate Monitoring

The Taylor TP50 digital hygrometer measures indoor temperature and relative humidity, displaying a comfort icon that shows DRY, COMFORT or WET conditions. It is suited for homeowners, greenhouse growers or anyone tracking ambient conditions in living spaces, reptile enclosures or humidors. The unit includes a tabletop stand and a magnetic back for flexible placement.

Accuracy and Range Define Suitability

Temperature range spans from -58°F to 158°F with ±1°F accuracy, while humidity covers 10% to 99% RH with ±2% to 3% RH accuracy. Readings refresh every 10 seconds. Buyers who need certified calibration, data logging or remote alerts will not find those functions in this model.

Simple Setup with Common Pitfalls

Insert the included AAA battery, select °F or °C, and place the device on a flat surface or attach it to a metal appliance. Avoid direct sunlight, drafts or heat sources that skew readings. The comfort icon updates automatically; high and low records reset only when the battery is removed.

Questions about this item

How accurate is the ±1°F reading when I place the TP50 on a desk?

The sensor measures temperature within ±1°F and humidity within ±2–3% RH, updating every 10 seconds so you see current conditions quickly.

What does the °F/°C selector actually switch for this hygrometer?

The selector toggles the display between Fahrenheit and Celsius across the full –58°F to 158°F range; humidity always shows in percent RH.

Will the magnetic back hold the TP50 on my fridge door?

Yes — the built-in magnet lets you attach it to any ferromagnetic surface, and the fold-out stand works for countertop placement.
