What this thermometer does

The Taylor UN0581-MET01 is a wireless indoor outdoor thermometer that transmits temperature and humidity data from a remote sensor up to 330 ft to a 4.5 inch backlit display. It suits homeowners who want real-time conditions for multiple locations without wiring.

Deciding specification — transmission range

The single figure that decides fit is the 330 ft wireless radius. If the sensor must sit farther from the display — across a large property or through dense walls — the signal will not reach and a different solution is needed.

Capacity and headroom

The unit measures outdoor temperature from -58 °F to 158 °F and indoor temperature from 14.2 °F to 122 °F with +/-0.5 °F accuracy. Humidity reads 1 % to 99 % with +/-2 % accuracy. It handles normal household and garden monitoring comfortably but cannot record data or connect to a network for remote access.
