Indoor Outdoor Monitoring

The Taylor UN0581-WH01 is a wireless weather station for homeowners who want simultaneous indoor and outdoor climate readings. It ships as a main display unit paired with one remote sensor, ready for tabletop or wall placement. Battery power keeps the setup free of wiring. The 4.5'' backlit LCD presents temperature, humidity and three comfort indices at a glance.

330ft Wireless Range

The single specification that decides fit is the 330ft transmission radius between sensor and display. Data refreshes every 30 seconds across that distance, so the sensor must stay within clear line of sight for reliable updates. Outdoor temperature spans -58°F to +158°F with +/-0.5°F accuracy, while humidity covers 1-99% with +/-2% accuracy. Indoor range is +14.2°F to +122°F.

Simple Battery Install

Installation requires inserting alkaline AA batteries into the sensor first, then the main unit — no pairing routine is needed. The backlight activates for 10 seconds per button press for dark-room reading. Buyers who need multiple remote zones should note the box includes only one sensor. The mold, dew and heat indices are calculated automatically from the transmitted data.

Questions about this item

What does the ±0.5°F accuracy mean when I am reading indoor or outdoor temperatures?

The indoor temperature range is +14.2°F to +122°F and the outdoor range is -58°F to +158°F, so every reading you see will be within half a degree Fahrenheit of the true temperature across those ranges.

How far can the remote sensor transmit to the main unit and how often does it update?

The wireless link reaches up to 330 ft radius and refreshes temperature and humidity data every 30 seconds.

What are the physical mounting options for the display unit?

The 4.5'' backlit LCD display can sit on a tabletop or be mounted on a wall for easy viewing.
