TBC Arctic Claw Winter WXI 245/65R17 107T

The TBC Arctic Claw Winter WXI is a highway terrain winter tyre built for SUVs and light trucks. It carries a load index of 107 and a speed rating of T, certified up to 118 mph. The asymmetric tread design and winter compound deliver grip on dry, wet and snow-covered roads. A 13/32 inch tread depth supports traction through the season.

Drivers needing studdable winter traction

This tyre suits owners of SUVs and light trucks who want reliable winter performance on paved roads and the option to install studs for extra ice grip. It is not for buyers who require a dedicated off-road or mud-terrain pattern. Vehicles with a different rim diameter or load requirement should look at other sizes.

17 inch rim diameter with 245 mm section width

The tyre fits a 17 inch wheel and has an overall diameter of 29.5 inches. The 4-ply rating and standard load range support the stated load index. The black sidewall finish completes the specification. These dimensions determine whether the tyre matches the vehicle's factory fitment.

Questions about this item

Will the 245/65R17 tyre fit my 17-inch rim?

Yes, the tyre is built for a 17-inch rim diameter and a 245 mm section width.

How are the optional studs fitted to the pinned tread?

A tyre shop presses metal studs into the pre-moulded holes; the step often missed is torquing each stud to the maker's spec so they seat fully.

When should I replace the tyre based on the 13/32 tread depth?

Replace once the tread wears down to 6/32 for safe winter performance, well above the legal 2/32 minimum.
