Five-pack compatible toner set

This five-pack contains four colours: black, cyan, magenta and yellow. Each cartridge replaces the Brother TN229 series and fits the MFC-L3780CDW, HL-L3280CDW, HL-L3220CW and MFC-L3720CDW printers. The set suits small offices or home users who print regularly and want a complete colour supply in one purchase. Buyers needing high-yield cartridges or single-colour replacements should look elsewhere.

Standard yield at five percent coverage

Black cartridges deliver approximately 1500 pages and each colour cartridge delivers approximately 1200 pages at the industry-standard five percent coverage. As aftermarket toner, power draw and noise are determined entirely by the printer hardware, not the cartridge itself. The toner formulation is designed to flow consistently without increasing the printer’s internal temperature during normal operation.

Tested to SMTC and ISO standards

Cartridges undergo quality-assurance testing aligned with SMTC and ISO benchmarks and carry a one-year manufacturer defect guarantee. No additional software, chips or hardware accessories are bundled; the pack contains only the five toner units. Installation follows the printer’s standard cartridge-replacement procedure, so no extra steps or tools are required.

Questions about this item

How do I install the TN229 black cartridge and which step causes most errors?

Open the front cover, pull the drum unit out, press the green lock lever to release the old TN229BK, unpack the new cartridge, gently rock it five times, insert until it clicks, then slide the drum unit back in.

What maintenance will the TN229 cartridges need after the 1500 black or 1200 colour pages are used?

Replace each cartridge when print fades or the printer shows a low-toner message; no separate drum or waste-toner maintenance is required for these standard-yield TN229 units.

Which limit appears first during a long print run with the TN229 set — toner life or heat?

Toner life is the first limit; each black cartridge yields 1500 pages and each colour cartridge 1200 pages at 5 % coverage before replacement is needed.
