Questions about this item

How do I install the TCT TN635XL cartridges in my HL-L8430CDW, and what step do people often miss?

Open the front cover, pull the drum unit out, press the green lock lever to release the empty cartridge, unpack the new TN635XLBK or color cartridge, gently rock it five or six times to distribute toner evenly, remove the protective cover, slide it in until it clicks, then return the drum unit and close the cover.

What maintenance or replacement will the TN635XL 5-pack need after the toner runs out?

Each black cartridge yields about 5500 pages and each color cartridge about 4500 pages at 5 % coverage; when print quality fades, replace the empty cartridge. The drum unit is separate and typically lasts several toner cycles before it needs changing.

What limit appears first during long, continuous print runs with these high-yield cartridges?

The printer’s internal temperature protection will pause the job before the toner is exhausted, letting the fuser cool down; once it cools, printing resumes automatically.
