The Escapists Escape Team DLC

This downloadable content adds the Escape Team scenario to The Escapists on Steam. Four wrongly convicted inmates must cooperate to break out of a high-security military prison. The pack is delivered as an online code and activates through the Steam client. Owners of the base game on Windows or Mac can redeem it immediately.

Gameplay loop and progression

Each session tasks the squad with gathering tools, studying guard routines and crafting escape routes under constant surveillance. The strategy layer deepens as new areas unlock, requiring coordinated timing and resource sharing. Because the expansion runs on the same engine as the base title, performance scales predictably with the host system rather than spiking during set-piece moments.

Compatibility checklist

A Steam account and an existing copy of The Escapists are mandatory before purchase. The code cannot be redeemed in the blocked regions listed in the specifications. Minimum PC requirements call for Windows XP, a dual-core 2.4 GHz processor, 2 GB RAM and graphics equivalent to Intel HD 4000 or Radeon HD 4800. Mac users need OS X 10.8 or later. Buyers without the base game or in restricted countries will not be able to play.

Questions about this item

Will the 2.4 GHz dual-core CPU minimum keep my laptop cool and quiet during long sessions?

The DLC itself adds no extra load; it runs inside The Escapists, so heat and fan noise stay at whatever level the base game already produces on your hardware.

Do I need to own the base game The Escapists on Steam before this DLC will work?

Yes, the Escape Team content requires The Escapists installed and activated on the same Steam account, plus a Steam account for activation.

Can I run this DLC on a Mac with Intel HD 4000 graphics under OS X 10.8?

The Mac minimum lists OS X 10.8 and Intel HD 4000, so a compatible Mac meeting those specs will launch the DLC through Steam.
